Terms

These terms cover what we sell, what we promise, and what we expect of you in return. Plain English where possible. Where the law needs a word, we use it and explain it.

What you are buying

You are buying a personalised children's story PDF. We write a 14-page story based on the brief you give us at checkout (the child's name, age, theme, optional friend, optional small detail). We deliver the PDF to your email within minutes of payment.

Pricing and payment

Prices are shown in euros and include VAT for EU customers. We use Gumroad or Stripe to take payment. We do not see or store your full card details. If your bank converts to your local currency, the rate is set by your bank, not us.

Refunds

If you do not love the story, reply to your delivery email within seven days. We will send a fresh story or refund the full amount. No questions, no friction. After seven days we still review on a case-by-case basis and try to help.

Regenerations

The first regeneration of a story is free. Reply with the change you want (a different theme, a different small detail, a corrected spelling) and we will send a new story at no charge.

Your rights to the story

Once we deliver the PDF, you have a personal, perpetual, non-exclusive licence to download it, print it for your own use, gift it to friends and family, and read it aloud at home, school, or anywhere else children gather. You may not resell the PDF or use it commercially.

We retain the underlying copyright in the writing and the design system. We will never sell or republish your story to anyone else.

What we expect of you

What we may refuse

We may refuse or refund any order if the brief contains content that would not belong in a children's picture-book. Examples: violence, anything sexual, cruelty, real-world events involving real people, anything that targets a specific identifiable child for harm. We are a small press making a kind product. We act in line with that.

Changes

We may update these terms over time. If we change them in a material way, we will email everyone on our list and update the date at the top of this page.

Liability

We do our best to make every story good. If a story does not arrive, or arrives broken, or does not meet what these terms say, we will refund your order in full. To the extent the law allows, our maximum liability for any single order is the amount you paid for that order.

Governing law

These terms are governed by Dutch law. Any dispute will be heard by the courts of Rotterdam, the Netherlands, unless your home consumer rights say a different court can also hear the case.
